« LA CAFARDEUSE » suit l’artiste et peintre canadienne Lyzane Potvin, alors quelle prépare une importante exposition personnelle à Paris, en 2014.
A travers l’autoportrait, elle se met en scène, de façon tragique et brutale. Elle utilise le feu pour transformer les couleurs et les matériaux, créant des textures inattendues, brutes et surprenantes.
Le film montre la vulnérabilité d’une véritable artiste produisant son art sous pression, sans renoncer à son besoin inné de provoquer.
YVES MARTEL – Réalisateur
Originaire du Lac Saint-Jean (Québec, Canada), il complète un diplôme d’études cinématographiques à l’Université de Montréal, et devient technicien d’éffets spéciaux.
« LA CAFARDEUSE » est son deuxième documentaire sur l’art, après « L’ÉPINE MENTALE » (cinéma d’animation).
Il collabore à plusieurs magazines en tant que scénariste Bandes-Dessinées, où il explore le gag et participe à des BD-reportages.
« EATEN, AT ROOM TEMPERATURE » follows the Canadian artiste and painter, Lyzane Potvin, as she prepares an important solo exhibition in Paris, in 2014.
Through self-portrait, she puts herself on show, in tragic and brutal fashion. She uses fire to transform colors end materials, creating unexpected, raw, strartling textures.
The film shows the vulnerability of a genuine artist producing her art under pressure, without giving up her innate need to provoke.
YVES MARTEL – Director
Originally from Lac Saint-Jean (Québec, Canada), he completed a film studies diploma at the University of Montreal and became a special effects technician.
« EATEN, AT ROOM TEMPERATURE » is his second documentary on art after « A THORN IN THE MIND » thorn (animation cinema).
He collabores in several magazines as a comic writer where he explores the gag and participes in comic reports.
